Legend:
(1) Wireless Thermostat
Controls heating and cooling
equipment. Accepts set-point changes from the
Utility through the HAN Gateway and provides operational data
(temperature, equipment run-times).
(2) HAN Gateway
Connects the
Smart Meter to the wireless Home Area Network (HAN). Can
optionally display energy consumption and environmental data via
color touch screen.
Embedded web server supports browser interface.
Built-in USB, Ethernet Port, WiFi, 802.15.4 Radio.
(3) Wireless Power Meter Interface
Provides information about
generated power (PV, wind, generator set) to the HAN gateway.
