Why Wireless?

With rising energy costs, the need to implement energy management systems is growing. Our wireless products make it more affordable to install an energy management system, even in smaller commercial buildings. With wireless sensors and controls, installation costs are significantly reduced in comparison to wired installations, making returns on investment higher and more immediate.

Sensing and Controls for Energy Management

There are two components to energy management: sensing and control. Sensing alone can be used to accomplish some energy management goals: for instance, wireless submetering can be used alone for conducting an energy audit, or allowing building occupants to monitor their energy usage. Using sensing in conjunction with controls offers additional opportunities for higher levels of energy savings, including comprehensive approaches to monitoring consumption and controlling usage with automated systems.

Spinwave Systems has developed two lines of wireless products for all your energy management and building automation applications:

• A³ : wireless sensors for tough RF environments, integrates with virtually any building automation system

• WaveLink: wireless sensors and controls for energy management

Our A³ product line of wireless sensors has been developed to provide wireless sensing to automation systems through open protocols and direct I/O.  A³ is designed for environments with severe RF interference. Using our patent-pending frequency-hopping technology,  A³ sensors automatically adapt to interference for maximum reliability even in industrial environments.

A³ products include wireless pulse counters for submetering, temperature, humidity, combined temperature/humidity, and voltage sensors, along with a complete line of gateways for interfacing devices with virtually any open protocol automation system.

Wireless Energy Management System

Our wireless energy management product line has been developed as an efficient, cost-effective energy management system. In addition, our versatile sensors and controls can be used as a complete wireless sensing and control system in a variety of commercial applications.

Energy management products include wireless thermostat controllers, wireless input/output devices to accommodate several different device configurations, and gateways to integrate devices with open protocol automation systems.
